Why Should the Nonprofit Manager Focus on Marketing?
It has been said that business without marketing is like winking in the dark. The most important reason that the nonprofit manager should focus on marketing is to effectively and efficiently accomplish outreach and public educational objectives. Applying the science of marketing to your corporate plan can help you to achieve your mission more effectively and more efficiently. There are two primary goals of a marketing campaign: 1) To identify a target market of people with a particular need and then meet that need. 2) To improve upon the efficiency, effectiveness and impact of communication and promotional efforts.
